We advised eBay, leading e-commerce company worldwide, in the opposition against trademark SPORTBAY, in class 35 filed by Marlon Bonilha Eireli. We have filed this opposition in defence of the interests of the well-known eBay platform. The applicant, a Brazilian citizen, has also filed the application in Brazil and for eBay it is of the utmost importance not to allow this registration as it would weaken the distinctive strength of trademark eBay. This case is still ongoing.
