The client requested us to evaluate the correction of the payments for various fines made as a consequence of the voluntary recognition of violations. After the evaluation, we recommended requesting the reimbursement of the payments made as they qualified as undue.
After preparing the documents supporting the proposed strategy, we were able to obtain the recognition of the undue payment by the Customs Administration and the refund of the fines paid by the client. In this sense, a significant amount related to the port operations was recovered.
