Ballet Municipal de Lima (BML) is the formal and local company of classic ballet in Lima, Peru. Since irs foundation in 1983, it has being recognised as th an autonomous and privately owned company with the nomenclature «municipal», due to the existing link between the BML and the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (MML), being today the most recognised ballet companies in Peru. The BML has been operating for fourty (40) years, through the Association that has been its management, organisation and support since its beginnings. BML is pro-bono client of Estudio Olaechea.
We advised “BML” with respect to the signing of an agreement between its Association and the MML in order to establish an improvement regarding the conditions for the use of the Municipal Theatre of Lima during the performances of its company in such place. For that matter, we reviewed the local regulations and analysed which were the best terms for the fostering of such art and company in one of the most important theatres of Lima, taking into account the mixed legal figure of the BML, since it is part of the private sector but at the same time holds an important role because of the “municipal” nomenclature that has been recognised to the company that evidences its link and the support of the MML.
