Client Requirement: The client is going to develop a USD 1.2 Billion Project to enlarge and improve its port infrastructure and operations in Callao. Of course, it will demand a very deep and serious analysis from Environmental regulations’ perspective. This task is particularly challenging if it is considered that the Peruvian environmental regulations are currently under construction and that there are still many holes in our regulations. Client has asked us to team-up with the Project Management Group and the Environmental Technical Group in order to mapping all environmental requirements and concerns. Specially, the ones that are not completely covered by our current regulations or jurisprudence. Just to illustrate the particularity of this project, in due time, we will need to consider the hiring of archaeologist-scuba-divers in order to confirm that the project will not damage any archaeological remain in the sea. And this is just a mere example of its complex nature.
Our participation: We have teamed-up with our Client’s officers in order to conceptualize each step of the implementation of the investment. As it is regular for this size of investments, some tasks can be developed in a plurality of manners. Time is of the essence and we have contributed to save substantial time with the structuration of a mapping that considers the simultaneous implementation of all those pluralities of manners.
Client benefit: Client was benefitted with our strategical approach to develop a mapping of duties and tasks that could be performed simultaneously without the need to wait till the respective option from a variety of possibilities is finally taken. And this is just the beginning.
