The Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic initiated a subsequent control action on the acquisition of 7995 laptops by the Regional Government of Huánuco, identifying that the equipment delivered by the company Pomme Corporativo S.R.L. to the entity did not comply with the required technical characteristics. Likewise, the Comptroller General’s Office identified that the laptops did not have the software indicated in the requirement, despite the letters of authenticity sent by LENOVO’s legal representative to the Regional Government of Huánuco.
As a result, the Fourth Office of the Specialized Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Huánuco initiated a criminal investigation against the officials of the Regional Government of Huánuco, the General Manager of Pomme Corporativa, the representative of the company DELTRON S.A. (who sold the laptops to Pomme and the one who bought the laptops from Lenovo) and against the legal representative of LENOVO for the crime of aggravated unfair collusion to the detriment of the State. We were entrusted with the case when the Public Prosecutor’s Office had already formalized the preparatory investigation against the investigated parties. Since then, we have been vigorously defending the interests of LENOVO’s legal representative and the company itself, proving that the information indicated in the certificates of authenticity is true. To date, the case is still pending.
