Our firm provides advisory services to APM Terminals, the company that operates the most important terminal in Peru, which receives more than 70% of the general cargo and almost 40% of containerized cargo in the country and is the gateway for Peruvian foreign trade. APM Terminals has signed an addendum with the Peruvian government (with the purpose of correcting the original design of the modernization project, in order to meet the needs of the market and increase the storage and cargo handling capacity of the port terminal.
We have participated in the formalization of the addendum to the Concession Contract signed with the Ministry of Transportation. Likewise, we have provided legal advice to APM Terminals in the modifications legal stability agreements to be signed with the Peruvian State, through which guarantees applicable to APM Terminals are stabilized for the term of its Concession Contract. This matter is ongoing before the Private Investment Promotion Agency (PROINVERSIÓN), specialized technical body, attached to the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
