APM Terminals Callao S.A.

The client is one of the largest maritime ports in Peru and is currently in the process of renewing its processes in order to modernize them, as well as its infrastructure. In this regard, we participated in the process of analyzing the possibility of the port carrying out additional activities to those it currently provides, and could, for example, operate a service station within the client’s infrastructure. To this end, the team has reviewed the client’s hydrocarbon records registered with Osinergmin, to determine the possibility of providing these additional hydrocarbon (fuel) sales services, among other services, to third parties. Osinergmin’s hydrocarbons registry is key to carry out hydrocarbon activities in the country, in accordance with the regulations in force. Therefore, if APM seeks to carry out more hydrocarbon activities, other than the purchase of hydrocarbons for its own use, it must be registered and authorized to do so by the competent authority.
