Our client is a company founded in January 1965, with contributions from local shareholders and Japanese companies Mitsui & Company LTD. and Toyota Motor Corporation. It has been the official distributor of the Toyota brand in Peru since its beginnings. TOYOTA has entrusted us with its defense in a proceeding initiated by SUNAT (tax authority), in which it seeks the declaration of nullity of the Resolution of the Tax Court that ordered SUNAT to reassess the Income Tax for 2010 based on what was resolved with respect to the Income Tax for 2009, with respect to the balance in favor of previous years, as well as the payments on account of the Income Tax for the periods from March to December 2010.
