Client Requirement: Our client needed assistance because it was planning to expand its business and develop a new mining project in southern zone of Peru. To develop such Project our client needed our advice on environmental and mining permits as well as performing a kind of due diligence to the other party (tittle holder of the mining concession).
Our participation: We helped the client not only to draft an agreement with the Tittle holder of the mining concession but to analyse if the mining concession tittle holder was complying with all the permits and authorizations (environmental and mining) needed to execute the agreement with our client but also with the specific legal requirements to perform exploration activities to get mining core samples.
It is very important to take into consideration that in Peru it would be considered a criminal felony if anyone executes an agreement with a person or company that does not comply with all the legal requirement related to a mining concession (environmental and mining).
