Turo, Inc.

Turo is an American rental car company that has developed great importance in the car rental market. We advised the company in the opposition against trademark TURO, in class 39 filed by Antenor Walter Chávez Villavicencio. We have presented the opposition in defence of the interests of the trademark TURO, to prevent said trademark from being appropriated by third parties. The Peruvian Trademark Office declared our opposition well-founded. As a strategic move, we appealed the decision on the grounds that they did not accept the notoriety of the trademark. However, the opposing party did not appeal. We have withdrawn our appeal, and the procedure is pending resolution of the withdrawal. This case is still ongoing
