We advised Saam Towage in response to a request for information from Indecopi’s Competition Authority in the context of a market investigation related to the “Port Sector”, regarding a merger transaction being carried out by other companies within the sector. In this regard, we received and reviewed the questionnaire sent from the authority that sought to gather further elements of judgment to understand the markets included in the aforementioned operation. Thus, we advised our client in the formulation of the responses to the authority related to the market and its own operation and accompanied our client in the interviews held with the authority about it. In addition, we advised and prepared the corresponding confidentiality requests before the authority to keep our client’s sensitive and privileged information confidential, obtaining the granting of the requested confidentiality.
