We have provided legal advisory to Sygnia, a cyber technology and services company, on the execution and negotiations of a contract with a State contractor, Metro de Lima (for the deployment of Lima’s city metro). In the negotiations, we have conducted an in-depth review and analysis of the company’s liability in case of any digital security incident, the services covered by an incident response assessment, and other relevant matters surrounding cybersecurity governance.
The negotiation with Metro de Lima has been complex and required great efforts from the entire team to reach a result aligned with our client’s needs. Likewise, the matter demanded a thorough examination and review of the nature of security incidents, the liability of service providers in cybersecurity advisory, and the various contractual implications.
