Implementation of cargo services
Prior to the pandemia, Air Canada (AC) granted a mix transportation services: passengers, cargo and mail. During the pandemia AC reinvented their services by converting the cabin into cargo area. Such conversion must also have to be approved by DGAC, the Peruvian Air Civil Aviation authority. We have to explain about the safety and security of this conversion as it was the first time that the authority dealt with it. The implementation of the these cargo services were a success and now AC is having new business unit: cargo services with aircrafts manufactured exclusively for cargo.
We also advised in the hiring of personnel for this business unit. This was a delicate matter as some of them were employees of their former cargo agent. We have to take care of every detail to prevent that their former employer claim regarding the termination of the agency agreement, about confidential information, among others.
Our advised included the filing for the cargo international operating permit.
