APM TERMINALS is the concessionaire of the most important port in Peru and is part of the A.P. Moller – Maersk group. Our client has entrusted us with his representation in an important process against the Port Authority in which the dangerousness of handling shipments of «Ammonium Nitrate» is discussed, which is used for the manufacture of explosives and is highly reactive.
The result of the process will allow the APM TERMINALS to deny port attention to ammonium nitrate shipments, on the basis that it represents a risk to port facilities, their workers, and the population in general. Such activity that must be restricted to avoid serious accidents such as the one that recently occurred in Beirut.
