APM Terminals Callao S.A.C.

The client is the concessionaire/administrator of the main port of Peru, the port of Callao, who has been performing under the terms of the concession, various implementations of equipment and/or construction of new buildings, so it required to determine which of all of them would require the delivery of a building permit by the Provincial Municipality of Callao. Thus, we proceeded to visit the port facilities to determine and learn first-hand about the constructions or implementations that were to be carried out, to then proceed with a technical legal analysis that would allow us to establish the following: i) the need for a building permit and ii) under what procedure it would be processed, in case a permit is required. Likewise, technical consultations were made to the Municipality to determine the criteria with which they had been issuing building licenses and to see the implications of these with the client’s actions. This analysis and evaluation will allow the client to comply with urban and municipal regulations and avoid any type of sanction and/or non-compliance, thus being able to focus on their projects on a permanent basis and without risk of sanction.
