APM

The client asked us to evaluate the possible alternatives available to him after detecting an incident in a container belonging to one of his clients, which contained goods subject to evaluation by the agricultural authority (SENASA). Since the incident had occurred, the port was obliged to make certain communications to the Customs Administration in order to avoid fines; however, the operation had to be carried out as efficiently as possible to avoid prolonging import clearance times and cargo risks. In response to the request, we made an evaluation of the facts that had occurred and explained to the client the obligations he had to comply with as a consequence of the detection of the event and the alternatives available to him for such purpose. In this way, the client was able to comply with the obligations foreseen in the applicable legislation.
