APMTC – Waste Management, Treatment and Disposal

Client Requirement: The client is the operator of the main port in Peru and as part of its operations it requires to deal with a huge amount of waste. According to Peruvian legislation the generators of solid waste must comply with certain requirements to storage, transport and dispose it. Our participation: We teamed up with our client’s technical environmental department to comply with such regulations. In this case, we did the extra mile: we proposed different alternatives to re-use the waste generated within our client facilities. Our advice included the analysis of new requirements incorporated by new regulations related to End-of-Life Tires (ELT), Construction Waste Management, among others. Client benefit: The client strengthened its environmental strategy on the management, treatment and disposal of its waste complying within all legal requirements including the new ones considered in the regulations recently enacted. Our assistance was essential because some new regulations related to ELT or Construction Waste Management are still not fully ruled, and our team assisted on providing the right interpretation to the new regulations in the most environmentally suitable and friendly manner.
