ATRIA Energia S.A.C.

ATRIA is the largest energy dealer in Perú with regional presence in Chile. It has more than 650 industrial clients. One of Atria’s pillars is to ensure that the supply of electricity to its clients is provided under the best conditions. One of Atria’s mining clients, Cori Puno S.A.C., filed a request to Electro Puno (which is the concessionary company that provides the electric distribution services in the area where Cori Puno is located at a southern region of Perú) to increase its power supply. Since Electro Puno put many obstacles to attend Cori Puno’s request, our role was to submit a «Connection Mandate Request» to Osinergmin, which is the competent entity to order Electro Puno to attend the power expansion to Cori Puno. After a long procedure, the result was positive for our client and Osinergmin ordered Electro Puno to comply with Cori Puno’s request. Since then, we have recurrently intervened so that the Osinergmin resolution is complied with, and the power requested by Cori Puno is increased. Since Electro Puno did not comply with Osinergmin’s mandate, we filed a claim against Electro Puno before Osinergmin to safeguard Cori Puno’s rights. We had a positive result: Osinermgin initiated an Administrative Sanctioning Proceeding against Electro Puno for non-compliance of the mandate.
