Restart of operations of the airline
Cargojet contacted the firm to restart their operations on November 12th, 2023, after 3 years. The necessary actions for the restart were done in less than two weeks, this has been possible due to the firm’s recognition by the aeronautical authorities. The firm was in charge of the following:
Flight Permit (FP): Review of all the documentation and prepared the complementary documentation required by Peruvian regulations. Approval of slots maintaining permanent coordination with the DGAC (Peruvian aeronautical authority), the airport operator (Lima Airport Partners -LAP) and the air traffic controller (CORPAC). This permit was obtained in a short period of time.
International Operating Permit (IOP): we filed this request in parallel to the FP. In progress.
Security Program: We prepared this program in accordance with the requirements of Peruvian regulations to guarantee aviation safety in Cargojet’s operations. It should be noted that the approval of this document by the DGAC is a prerequisite for the granting of the IOP.
Emergency Plan: We adapted Cargojet’s Emergency Plan to Peruvian aeronautical regulations to safeguard its operations at Jorge Chávez International Airport in case of earthquake, fire, aircraft accident, among others. It should be noted that the approval of this document by the DGAC is an indispensable requirement for the granting of the IOP.
