We have advised Cell Therapy and Technology S.A. de C.V. on the patent case Pirfenidone Composition and procedure for the manufacture of prolonged release tablets.
This patent holds significant advantages and demonstrates improved therapeutic efficacy compared to other pharmaceutical forms of Pirfenidone for oral administration. It finds therapeutic application in the regression of chronic renal failure secondary to primary glomerulosclerosis. Additionally, it exhibits enhanced activity in reducing and/or reversing the adverse effects observed in mammary capsular contracture following surgical breast implantation.
Currently, the resolution for this patent case is pending, and we are closely monitoring its progress.
