Lankan Canela

The client turned to us because he was receiving constant observations from his bonded warehouse regarding the documentation, he needed to obtain in order to import goods subject to regulation by the agrarian authority. As a result, he was unable to import his goods. After assessing the client’s situation, we evaluated the applicable legislation and concluded that the warehouse’s request was baseless and exceeded the legal requirements. We also obtained meetings with the authority in order to obtain a ruling on the matter, which we subsequently shared with the warehouse. Thus, we were able to cease the customs warehouse from requiring unnecessary information from the client, which allowed it to resume its pending operations and reduce the import time in future operations.
