MARLEW S. A.

We are advising MARLEW S.A, an Argentinian company, with over 48 years of experience in manufacturing electrical conductors, in an arbitration against Cumbra Ingeniería S.A (formerly called GMI S.A Ingenieros Consultores). This arbitration has its origin in an Extrajudicial Settlement reached by the parties due to breaches of Cumbra Ingeniería S.A of the terms established in an EPC contract celebrated with MARLEW. Despite the existence of that settlement, the defendant refuses to pay, which is being requested by our client in this arbitration process. The amount requested is approximately US$ 3,000,000.00, plus interests. The Arbitration Court successfully determined that Cumbra Ingeniería S.A. should pay what was owed to MARLEW, plus interest, to the extent that Cumbra Ingeniería S.A. did not comply with the Extrajudicial Settlement. Currently, Cumbra Ingeniería S.A. has complied with what was ordered by the Arbitration Court and has made the payment of 100% of what is owed to MARLEW.
