Legal advice to NOKIA SOLUTIONS & NETWORKS PERU S.A., in the contract entered into with the National Telecommunications Program (PRONATEL), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, for the «Support and Maintenance of the National Fiber Optic Backbone Network». In this case, the legal advice was complex because it involved the granting of certain software licenses, and it was necessary to determine that the licenses were delivered under certain conditions within the framework of the contract.
The legal advice in this case focused mainly on seeking to negotiate with the entity the provisions concerning the software licenses. In this sense, it was possible to demonstrate that, by their nature, there were certain provisions that were inherent to the license.
