Our client (the largest producer of poultry, eggs, pork and sausages in Peru) asked us to manage solution to prevent losing 10 hectares of its property located in Mala, southern Peru. This property had a title deed in the name of the company, but it had been invaded for more than six years and we had not been able to evict the invaders.
Our assistance involved contacting the third parties who had invaded the 10 hectares, who were organized in a civil association, to negotiate a solution and try to recover the land in favour of our client. Thus, more than fifteen meetings and negotiations rounds were held over several months, achieving the acceptance of the purchase and sale of the invaded land, at a market value price, which turned the loss of the 10 hectares into a profit for the company. With this, the client went from having a loss to having a gain for the area of land lost.
