The client requested our support to represent him in the coordination with the logistics operators (bonded warehouse and customs agent) that had been demanding excessive requirements to carry out the company’s customs operations. This excessive rigidity prevented the client for several months from importing goods required for its business.
In response to the client’s request, we established a legal strategy focused on exposing the limits and powers of the operators established by the applicable regulations. Thus, we were able to get the bonded warehouse to change the procedure it followed to allow the entry of goods into its facilities; in turn, the customs agent ceased to require excessive documentation for the numbering of import declarations. As a result, the client was able to resume operations satisfactorily.
