Topsa (by Grandvision)

The client requested our support in dealing with the questioning initiated by the Customs Administration in relation to the compliance with a regulatory requirement applicable to the import of goods: the use of means of payment. The questioning of the Customs Administration had prevented for more than two months the nationalization (and, therefore, the free disposal) of the cargo, since it was immobilized. In response to TOPSA’s request, we prepared several documents in order to explain to the Customs Administration the real nature of the operation and to prove the use of means of payment in the cancellation of the price of the goods to be imported. Likewise, we were able to obtain meetings with the customs officials responsible for the questioning before whom we explained how TOPSA complied with the parameters required by the legislation. As a result of the meetings held and the written documents prepared, we were able to obtain the nationalization of the cargo and avoid the loss of ownership of the cargo and the imposition of a fine equivalent to the value of the cargo.
