We advised Viva Airlines Perú S.A.C. in a relevant and million-dollar transaction in which the low-cost airline Viva would become part of Avianca holding company.
This will enable both companies to unify efforts, routes and destinations in attention to the voracious competition that the aviation business implies.
The transaction was going to be simultaneously in Colombia, Perú and another parts of Latin America and it implies a particular analysis regarding the difference between the political and the economic rights of the company as well as the analysis of the regulatory and competition legal frameworks, in order to understand which authorizations were going to be required and the best legal strategy for this transaction.
